Wow, did you get some really great stuff! That jacket looks first rate, and the Tshirt slogan was so cute, it made me laugh out loud 😄 I just saw my son last night - he had to come over and get a big gadfly out of my apartment! - I said, "Honey, it's one of those Mom Emergencies, please come over!"🕷😄
That salted dry fish is called Bacalao and we eat it here in Puerto Rico all the time you can mix it with avocado, tomatoes, cucumber, eggs and make it in a Salad. If you leave it soaking in water overnight the next day is not salty. I love to make it in lent. We were poor so we had to eat what we had. But we never went to sleep hungry. ❤
A troll. People that are trolls are mean spirited and have a negative bitter attitude and mindset and want everyone to be like them. Ignore them. Acknowledging them gives them too much power.
What wonderful deals you got. Looks like some excellent quality purchases. I've made tuna burgers like salmon patties before. With side of green beans and rice.
What a beautiful blessing indeed the food banks helping those to supplement their food needs. I've heard individuals adding salad mixes to their soups when they have extra salad mix and want to make sure that it gets used before going bad.
Thank you for sharing this wonderful recipe. Looks delicious and filling. Yum.
Thank you Granny❤
Great jacket and t-shirt.
The days of wagon trains as families traveled across the Appalachian Mountains and west to seek homes and the struggles they had. Those definitely were times that families had to stretch what they had.
Wow, I never heard of the rubber band tip! Thank you for sharing so much with your viewers. I cherish you! ❤
You got a real bargain on that Swiss tech jacket, they run from 50-150 new
Have you tried Glad Press & Seal?? I love it!❤
Granny AMEN👏👏👏 You just keep on keeping on like the rest of we’re taught by our forefathers!!! Them yahoos with their negative gibberish will get “their comeupings” something my late Grandmother would say🥰 🙏🏻✝️❤️😀
Wonderful ❤
I love that P I love that poem.
I like the way you shop. Yes you are supposed to buy things to used with what you have. I live with my sister and niece and told them the same thing you can’t just shop blindly. ❤
How I wish we had thrift stores like yours in my area!!! Their prices rival those at Walmart for similar items…..☹️ Very glad you were able to find those items you showed us. I would have snatched up that t-shirt too. I’ve begun buying Christian t-shirts lately that are $10 or below from a company called Love in Faith. I’ve been very pleased with the quality of the work and the soft fabric. Enjoy your time with family!🥰 ❤-Brenda
Great haul! Especially that jacket!!!! Enjoy your family. BLESSINGS!!!
Granny Love those note cards. So cute. You are a good shopper. Thanks for sharing.
Granny Oh no not something else and needing a repair person. Thankfully they found the problem and could fix it. I appreciate your videos and wisdom. Things can change in an instant and we can be faced with a new reality.
Great video, Granny. 71 and have stopped asking 'what else can go wrong?'. Failing health, falling into donut hole, one med cost me $482. Consumes SS. Thankfully my 5 kids are grown!
Granny,i love the black t- shirt..cute.😊 good jacket too. Good deals at your thrift store.❤🥰🌻🌴
Those cards are so cute. Great deal on the jacket. That brand is a Walmart brand. I would love to find that tuna for 25 Cents. I like that flavor. Have fun with your family. God Bless.
You get those amazing deals. You enjoy your family and camping. We will be here when you get back.
💯! Thank you. I wish I could instill this in my kids.
I can’t go to thrift stores or any stores for that matter and Shop. But those are something I always buy a lot of in my preps. The sweet and spicy are excellent, the Aldi brand. I’ve been buying a lot of preps again and I started 14 years ago.
Great deals 🥰
Don't let the light ness of the swiss tech jacket fool you . They are well made and very warm . I have a similar one i got for 25 dollars at Walmart and regular price is 39.99
Sad because the keyboard worriers have no clue how fixed incomes live.. you may have someone drawing someone drawing less then $1000 that they worked for and a disabled survivor getting more then that.. that has never worked.. many don’t understand we all need a emergency fund in place.. I’m on survivor benefits from a deceased parent because I was born with cerebral palsy.. I’m 58 years old I live on my own, I don’t get welfare assistance because of my benefit amount…. My rent alone is $900 a month.. And I raised 2 kids by myself as a single mother.. so I know struggle well….. most seniors can’t afford a $300 a month food budget ..but I can.. do I save anything? Yes every month I have savings of some sort.. I have been displaced due to flooding, I lost a chest freezer full of food.. did it stress me out yes, but I had a emergency fund It doesn’t matter how small.. I’m going to keep myself in a position to at least buy food if I can’t pay rent if they ss check is ever delayed.. see that happened in the 80s where ss checks didn’t come on time I lived it .: I was raised by my grandmother and was taught to save coins in a mason jar.. it’s works over 30 years later I’m still doing it effortlessly and I don’t even miss it.. Many on fixed incomes have convinced themself they can’t save anything but it’s actually a choice.. $5 a month is better than nothing..
Wish we had a thrift store that was that cheap. all our thrift stores want to keep their stuff because the prices are so high.
Love the t shirt😊
I gotta hit the thrift store soon
Nice jacket.
Born in late 40's, 7th child of 7. I learn about the frugal life my parents had during the depression and war. I like the saying of that time, "Use it up, wear it out, make it last or do without." The acquired wisdom of the frugal and needy. Something we need today for sure. You are correct, there is no shame in learning how to "ride out the storms of life." We can make it with God's help. Bless you. By the way I had to resubscribe. Somehow your channel was deleted from my list. Have a great trip if you get to go.
great haul...i am not a big tuna eater but have found that i really like most of the flavors they offer...the lemon pepper is one of my fav's...love the shirt...blessing to you :)
You’re right about being frugal and making choices to make ends meet. Many in our society today have no idea what it was like during the Depression to go without. Inflation is bad right now. Home and car insurance have gone up, utilities costs have gone up, costs to replace appliances have gone up, gas has gone up, groceries have gone up. But salaries haven’t gone up anywhere near as much. So many of us are learning where we can cut costs and pinch pennies.
There’s so much bad people in this world. I don’t know why they have to make comments like that. Those Trolls. If you don’t have anything better say. Don’t say anything. I’m with you I have pinch pennies at many times in my life. But it made a better person. ❤ Hope everything gets better for you.
You got a great jacket ! Good job
Granny great deals
Swiss Tech is a good all weather jacket. Walmart used to sell that brand.
Our thrift store has kids books for 10 cents. A few towns over the only library they have is a "little free library" in the town park. So my mom and I go buy a bunch of books and stock up the library for the kids. Some times we have some extra $$ and we get puzzles, games, crayons, and other fun stuff to leave there. Those cards were super cute ❤🐕
Love the jacket and the color will look so nice with your hair!
Great video
That is one impressive haul - just $10 got you so many goodies!! What a blessing to spend time with your son - I have not seen my baby boy since Christmas. I do see his two brothers regularly thank God, but the baby is always the baby, no matter how old.
